THE FACELESS: 'Planetary Duality' E-Card Available

October 21, 2008

An e-card for "Planetary Duality", the new album from the Los Angeles, California-based based progressive death metal band THE FACELESS, can be found at this location. The CD is scheduled for release on November 11 via Sumerian Records.

Regarding the concept of the new record, guitarist Michael Keene previously said, "There are a lot of underlying themes within the album title, the idea that these inter-dimensional beings are from another planet similar to our own and a lot of the development on earth is directly related to their influence. There is also the other layer of it, the idea that we're only aware of the one dimension we exist in but there's more to our planet than that."

Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Ancient Covenant", "Xenochrist" and the two-part title track, "Planetary Duality Pt. 1" and "Planetary Duality Pt. 2". Speaking on the meaning of "The Ancient Covenant", Keene said, "'The Ancient Covenant' is about an agreement between man and the inter-dimensional beings, sort of similar to the rules of engagement so to speak, between these two life forms."

This week, THE FACELESS will embark a month-long headlining tour to promote "Planetary Duality". Support on the trek will come from ABIGAIL WILLIAMS, DECREPIT BIRTH, VEIL OF MAYA, and NEURAXIS.

THE FACELESS' debut album, "Akeldama", was released in 2006 via Sumerian Records.

Metal Injection has posted video footage of THE FACELESS performing a new song, "Xenochrist", on June 28, 2008 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. Watch the clip below.
